This is the trumpet part to a piece I wrote several years ago called “Blue Night.” It has gotten a lot of favor on other platforms so I’m deciding to post it here. I may post the full score as another item. It’s a jazz piece that I wrote sitting in my apartment just off campus during my college days, looking out at the blue of the night sky as it was setting. I wrote this tune and took it to the next jazz combo rehearsal we had and we went through it. It was on our last concert before the end of semester. As with anything, I do feel the need to edit it, so I may be posting a revised version of it sometime in the future. Enjoy trumpet players!
